Was shot in the NIGHT TRIUMPHANT T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this left leg through the quadriceps tendon above my knee. Thankfully it was only a .22, and it missed my femur and major blood vessels. I didn’t notice I had been shot until my sock felt wet a few minutes later. I thought it was sweat but when I adjusted my sock I saw blood on my fingers and a hole in my pants. The pain didn’t really start until a few hours later, and it was a very mild ache. However, the inflammation of the tendon in the following weeks made my knee creak like a rusty hinge in a horror movie for a couple of weeks. Always remember to check for one in the chamber, and keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire. I took a .45 ricochet in police training. We were shooting bowling pins and got lucky it hit my vest on my shoulder, and not my eye. I found the slug. It had the imprint of the fabric on it. I should still have it, as I kept it as the only bullet I was ever going to be shot by (yeah I had been in the academy long enough to lose some intelligence). It felt like some one had slugged me with a baseball bat. Now, this was a close range ricochet, so, the bullet wasn’t anywhere near it’s muzzle velocity, but I imagine if it was, the bat would have felt more like a sledge hammer.

Shot in the NIGHT TRIUMPHANT T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this right side with bird shot (mainly my arm) by a 12 gauge. Thankfully it was a distance away so just had to have all the pellets picked out. Felt like nothing to start with then just felt like I had been stung by wasps Left foot. You don’t see feel an thing when the bullet goes through, granted it was 22 calibre. However, the pain afterwards is excruciating. I can answer this one! 9mm to the right shin, part of it lodged into the bone and the other half in the calf behind. Both pieces eventually removed but a small piece is fused to the bone to this day (this was 20 years ago). It feels like a really hot fireplace poker jabbed into you. Even worse though was the shock later. I couldn’t even move the leg without excruciating pain for about 4 days. I was extremely fortunate. The doctor who saw the X-ray said “about a millimeter in any direction and your leg would’ve been gone.”
