I know right. I know it don’t help, but here’s what these places are doing. They sign up for some charity and then try to get their customers to donate. Then they claim their donation at the Hellbound hellraiser iI graphic vintage shirt moreover I will buy this end of the year to get under the tax bracket. I always ask if they want to round down to my fund. When they say no, then I tell them to stop asking me then. I’ll pick my own charity. Worse in Australia they ask for less than $2 as that is the limit where you get a tax deductable receipt. Then the supermarkets group all the donations we have made and donates it in their name and gets the tax deduction! Most times the company has already made their donation. So let’s say this was a Target and they made a $10M donation to redcross. They already get the tax write off. Then, they ask their customers to donate to recoup those costs. Some of the time they even get more from people donating than they need, in which case they just pocket it. There is this bank called Triodos, which likes to call itself “sustainable” (whatever the fuck that means on a bank), I tried it out for a bit. I remember them asking if I wanted to donate the interest earnings of my money to sustainable projects. Then proceed to advertise “Triodos had donated X amount to sustainable projects this year”. No motherfucker, you have donated OUR money to this projects on YOUR behalf. What a scam… why don’t you donate YOUR fucking profits to sustainable projects.

This won’t reach top because its important but here goes: it gets worse. The company uses this money to receive a write off as if they were the Hellbound hellraiser iI graphic vintage shirt moreover I will buy this donor. This is the reason you shouldn’t donate. As far as I know, this donation cannot be claimed by you. I was stopped on the street once, asking for a donation, I asked how much, they wouldn’t tell me, only after I signed the agreement to donate, seriously…… It’s to inform of the bigger issue. Fair wealth distribution shouldn’t require so many charities and their use is beneficial to those who profit the most from this corrupt system. hi former cashier who had to do this here! my company made it a competition and we would get in trouble if we didn’t reach a certain quota of donations – they see per register per employee. it was terrible and i always felt bad asking but our shift leader and front end manager would hound us so hard if we didn’t ask. just remember we get mim wage and are supposed to compete over a $30 gift card to our own store or baseball tickets which wasn’t much seeing as our ceo was besties with the baseball team owner. most times we don’t want to ask but it’s required
